Q. Are you taking new clients?
A. At this time I am on a waiting list, but I'll be posting more regularly on my Facebook page when I do have openings! Please be sure to follow me there and don't be afraid to contact me if you're interested in getting on the wait list.
Q. What areas do you service?
A. My primary service areas are Smyrna, La Vergne, Nolensville, Lebanon and Murfreesboro in Tennessee. If you live outside of these areas, please give me a call to discuss. I might be able to provide service outside of these areas, especially if you have multiple dogs.
Q. Can I stay with my dog during the grooming?
A. Ever heard how children tend to act up around mom or dad but behave as perfect angels at school or with relatives? Dogs are no different! Dogs tend to behave better when mom or dad are out of sight so for that reason (as well as insurance reasons), I do not allow my clients inside the mobile grooming unit.
Q. How often should my dog be groomed?
A. I recommend grooming every 4 to 6 weeks. If you wish more frequent grooming, that is perfectly fine, too. Contrary to popular belief, more frequent grooming does not have any negative impact on your dog's coat, and it is entirely your preference.
Q. How long will it take to groom my dog?
A. Most dogs take anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes depending on the size of your dog and condition of his or her coat.
Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?
A. Yes. I require 24 hours advanced notice for cancellations. There is a $25 fee for each dog you have an appointment for that is cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment start time.
Q. How do you carry fresh water and get electricity to your mobile grooming unit?
A. The mobile grooming unit carries both a 35 gallon fresh water tank and a holding tank for the used water. There is also a large hot water heater installed so there is never cold bath! For electricity, I typically plug into one of your electrical outlets. I also have a generator for use if you don't have an easily accessible outlet for me to use.
Q. Do you groom cats?
A. No, I specialize in dog grooming only.
Q. Do you groom older dogs? What about large dogs?
A. Yes! I do groom older and aging dogs. However, for safety concerns, the dog must be able to stand on its own and be in good health. I can usually groom dogs up to about 75 pounds. However, my mobile grooming unit is not equipped to handle very large breeds.
